About the Grow the Dream Foundation Scholarship

The Grow the Dream Foundation is dedicated to helping student-athletes achieve their dreams of competing at the college level by providing essential financial support to families in need. Sponsored by Prep Network, our mission is to make college athletics a reality for more high school athletes in Minnesota, while fostering lifelong memories through premier competition and media exposure.

This year, we are awarding a $10,000 per year scholarship (renewable for up to four years) to one graduating student-athlete who will attend a Division 2, Division 3, Junior College, or NAIA institution in Minnesota. The award will be disbursed in two payments per year: $5,000 each semester (Fall and Spring).

• Application Deadline: March 1, 2026
• Selection Process: Applications and interviews will be reviewed in early Spring 2026.
• Public Announcement: The scholarship recipient will be announced in late Spring 2026.

Application Criteria

• SAT/ACT Scores (if available, a screenshot with name and score is acceptable)
• Sport(s) Played
• Extracurricular Activities & Volunteer Experience
• Minnesota College(s) of Interest or Committed School
• Intended College Major
• Personal Essay or Video Submission
  • Choose one: Submit a written essay (500-word max) or a video (5-minute max).
  • Topic: Share your most significant sports memory from youth or high school and explain how this scholarship would impact your college decision.
• Two Letters of Recommendation
  • Recommendations should be from a teacher, coach, or mentor, and submitted in PDF or Word format.
• Signed Application Submission Guardian Acknowledgement Form

Eligibility Requirements

• High school senior in good academic standing (official transcript required)
• Planning to attend a Minnesota college or university
• Intending to participate in intercollegiate athletics

Scholarship Maintenance Requirements

To continue receiving the scholarship, recipients must:

• Enrollment Verification: Submit a full-time class schedule each semester.
• Academic Standards: Maintain a minimum GPA of 2.5 per semester (submit transcript each semester).
• Athletic Participation Verification: A quick email to [email protected] from one of the coach's staff to verify you are still on the roster and a participating, eligible student-athlete.
